FIVE people appeared in court, following a major dawn swoop by drugs squad officers on houses in Southampton last month.

The men, who appeared separately at the city crown court, were charged with offences following the launch of Operation Anise.

Gary Spencer, 37, of Oxford Street, admitted 11 charges of supplying crack cocaine and heroin; Ian Dolman, 46, of Golden Grove, admitted ten charges of supplying the same hard drugs, and Junior Antwi, 21, of Orchard Lane, Southampton, admitted two counts of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Further remanding them in custody pending sentence next month, Judge Andrew Barnett warned them they faced a prison sentence.

Wesley Walters, 25, of Rampart Road, Southampton, was charged with two counts of supplying heroin and one of possessing a disguised firearm.

He did not indicate a plea and he was further remanded in custody until December 10.

Amarjit Singh, 38, of Kent Road, Southampton, was charged with being concerned in the supply of both class A drugs.

He was bailed until December 11.
