AN inquest was due to be held today into the death of a Hampshire woman in a devastating fire at her home.
Alison Leverton died when a blaze swept through her ground floor flat at Spencer Court, Stubbington, in September 2012.
Flowers and messages were left outside her warden-controlled flat by stunned neighbours who described her as “popular and brilliant”.
Alison, who was 54 and disabled, was a widow who had no children. She was a committee member at the Crofton Club in Stubbington.
Investigators said the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
