DRIVERS on one of Hampshire’s busiest roads are facing Monday morning rush-hour frustration today.

A broken down bread van is causing major tailbacks on the westbound A31 in the New Forest between Southampton and Bournemouth.

Police are on the scene at Rufus Stone, near the top of Castle Malwood Hill, in a bid to clear the vehicle from the carriageway.

Traffic is tailing back several miles along the westbound A31 and M27 towards junction 2 at Ower.
