AN OVERTURNED trailer and oil spillage has caused traffic chaos for hundreds of motorists in Hampshire this evening.
Motorists travelling on the A31 eastbound through the New Forest are being faced with delays of more than an hour due to the incident.
The trailer overturned near to the Picket Post services, and a clean-up operation is underway to remove both the trailer and the oil from the carriageway.
One lane of the A31 eastbound remains closed.
Traffic has built up into Ringwood, with motorists warned to expect lengthy delays.
