HUNDREDS of homes in Hampshire have been without power tonight after a fault on an overhead line.
Scottish and Southern Energy said the power went off in the Chandlers Ford and North Baddesley area just after 7pm with 1400 households affected.
In the last hour engineers have been able to restore power to about 900 homes but 500 remain without power.
A spokesman for the utility company said: “Engineers are on site and are continuing to do everything they can to get customers supplies back on as quickly as possible.
“I would like to apologise for any annoyance or inconvenience this has caused our customers.”
