RESIDENTS in Alresford have the chance to have another say on how the town should develop until 2031.
There will be a public meeting at Alresford Recreation Centre (ARC) on January 7 to discuss the proposals.
The town council was widely criticised in 2012 for proposing housing development on Pearson’s Down, off Sun Lane, as well as the relocation of Perins School and industry from The Dean to the same area.
The council formed needs groups to discuss housing, infrastructure and recreation and there is due to be a private feedback meeting tomorrow.
It was unclear exactly what the groups would be recommending. But the town council has been told by the city council that space for up to 500 homes must be found over the next 18 years.
On January 7 there will be presentations in the ARC from 2pm, then a questions and answer session at 7.30pm.
