Magistrate Trevor Vidler has remanded self-employed Mr Cerqua in custody to appear before Winchester Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Monday, January 6.
Cerqua has spoen to confirm his name, age and address.

The hearing is being held at Southampton Magistrates' Court on the Avenue.
Mr Cerqua is expected to be up second in today's proceedings.
According to police officers at the court, Robert and Chris Cerqua were identical twins.
