MEON Valley man Callum Etherington has been banned from driving for being over the alcohol limit.

Etherington, 20, of Spring Vale, Swanmore, was stopped driving a W-reg VW Golf on the B2177 at Wickham Common on November 17, magistrates at Basingstoke heard.

His alcohol reading was 62 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He was disqualified from driving for 22 months, fined £110 and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
