A WINCHESTER man accused of being in charge of a car when over the alcohol limit has been cleared.

Sebastian Sokolowski, 31, of Tilden Road, Compton, was alleged to have been in charge of a 05-reg VW Passat in Warren Road, Winnall, on January 1.

His alcohol reading was 49 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.

But the case was dismissed when prosecutors offered no evidence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

So where's the rest of the story DE?

Why did the CPS spend money to take it to court only to fail to offer any evidence and get it thrown out?

That, in my opinion, is more newsworthy and warrants investigation!
