Drug dealer jailed for two years

A SOUTHAMPTON woman who supplied hard drugs to an undercover police officer was jailed for two years with advice from a judge.
Judge Peter Henry told Lorraine Roberts, who has been tackling her drug problems since her arrest: “It’s up to you to take advantage of the facilities in prison and it’s up to you to get yourself off drugs.”
Prosecutor Matthew Lawson told the city crown court how Roberts had supplied the officer – making test purchases in an operation designed to crack down on drug-related crime in Hampshire – with crack cocaine on three occasions and heroin on two.
On arrest, she confessed that she had allowed her home to be used by a drug dealer who took orders by phone.
Roberts, 27, of Edelvale Road, Southampton, admitted supplying drugs and allowing her premises to be used for their supply.
