A drink-driver has been banned from the road for 22 months.
Darren Bulpitt, 29, of Lymington Bottom Road, Medstead, admitted driving a 51-reg Peugeot 206 in New Road, Basingstoke, with excess alcohol on January 11.
His reading was 79mg in 100ml of breath when the legal limit is 35mg, Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court heard. He also admitted having no insurance.
Magistrates disqualified him for 22 months, to be reduced by 23 weeks on passing an approved course, and fined him £400 with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
