Road to close for a month

First published in News

PART of a city centre road in Southampton will be closed for a month.

Orchard Place will be shut at its junction with Platform Road between February 17 and March 17.

It is so road improvement works can be carried out as part of the wider project to turn Platform Road into a dual carriageway.

Huh! Didn't think about THAT did you! Methinks Warings, the main contractor are going to hit you for huge compensation for laying off the hundreds of workers on the site!

Not a problem, Platform Road is being changed from 1 way to 2 way, traffic, so no traffic will need to use Orchard Place.
