PLANS to turn a family home in Southampton into a shared house have been turned down.
The city council’s planning panel voted to turn down the proposals for the home in Portsmouth Road. The owner had wanted to convert it into a shared house for up to six people. Neighbours objected, saying it may lead to parking and noise issues.
The panel said the scheme would be out of character with its surroundings and the loss of a family home.
