It is a road trip with a footballing twist. Friends and football teammates Dan Rourke, Martin Morris, Chris Bearpark, Steve Counsell, Andrew Hakin, Keith McIntyre, James Dobson, James Ford and Ben Turley aim to drive to all of the Premier League’s 20 grounds in 24 hours on April 8.
They will share the driving, finishing the challenge at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.
Their efforts are in aid of the Miscarriage Association.
Dan, 31, from Whiteley, wanted to help other parents dealing with a miscarriage after his own personal heartbreak.
“It is a tough challenge but we are very determined to raise money for this very underfunded cause that potentially could help women and couples through the emotional upset and physical trauma,” he said.
The friends will also be holding a meal and auction of donated sporting items to raise funds. A number of Premier League clubs including Saints have donated memorabilia.
