HE'S one of the country's most loved singer-songwriters - and he made a surprise appearance at a city centre venue.

Passenger, also known as Michael Rosenberg, surprised the crowd when he came out on stage to join friend Stu Larsen at The Brook in Portswood.

Australian acoustic artist Larsen was performing his headline set at the intimate venue when Passenger joined him along with Emma Stevens, who will be performing at The Brook on May 1.

The Let Her Go singer, who has sold more than four million singles worldwide, is no stranger to The Brook having sold out the venue in November last year.

Echo bulls**t.

We all remember (or know) the Beatles regularly selling 1 million singles in a month in the UK alone. Hendrix, Bowie, T Rex, etc
