BEAUTY and style came in all forms on the catwalk in Southampton at the weekend.
Southampton Solent University student Pasha Hughes organised a fashion show with a difference, using a diverse range of models from 82-year-old pensioners to British Paralympic athletes.
Pasha, 21, said: “The whole idea was to promote diversity in high street fashion because the current high street shops don’t cover it well enough.
“You never see a mannequin of a guy in a wheelchair or a plus-size model in a high street window and we wanted to show that these people can wear high street brands just as much.
“We had a really good turnout and were raising money for Young Minds, a charity that engages with young people and encourages positive mental health.”
Among the models at the show at The Marlands was Myles Pearson, a member of the wheelchair rugby team at the 2012 London games.
More than 50 people turned out to see the show and the money raised is still being counted by organisers.
The fashion show was also in memory of Stevie Brazier, a friend of Pasha's from Kent who died in February.
