Pub conversion plans hang in the balance
PROPOSALS to convert a former pub into flats hang in the balance.
Glen Sahota wants to convert the empty Park Hotel in Shirley Road, Southampton, into 11 flats.
City council officers had recommended that the plans be refused due to concerns over parking and its design before a meeting of the authority’s planning panel.
But at the meeting, during which residents and two ward councillors spoke in favour of the plans, it was decided to put the proposals out to extended consultation. Mr Sahota had amended the plans.
