THE family of a Hampshire newsagent brutally murdered outside his store have today have paid tribute to him.
Choudhry Zishan was attacked in High Street, Eastleigh, while he was on his way to work yesterday (Sunday) morning.
The 35yearold died later in Southampton General Hospital.
Police have launched a murder investigation and have arrested two men aged 22 and 25.
Brothers Ali Shan Fayyaz, 32, and Saddat Sarwar, 40, said the family is devastated by the news.
They said: "he was like a father to all his brothers and sisters.
"He was the person in the family who looked after everyone and thought about us all the time.
"He was a very hard working person who all the customers loved and he would do anything to help them.
"He was very proud of his work and would always talk with whoever came into the store."
Mr Zishan was leaving his home above the store at 4.30am yesterday to collect his Sunday morning papers from a distributor in Southampton when he was set upon.
He suffered severe head injuries and later died in hospital.
Mr Zishan arrived in Britain from his native Pakistan more than 15 years ago.
He leaves a wife and five-year-old son and also ran two other newsagents in the Southampton area and a party shop in Eastleigh.
