A CAR knocked out the traffic lights on a Southampton road.

The vehicle driven by a man went into the lights on Winchester Road at around 9pm last night.

A fire crew from Redbridge was called as there was an oil spillage, but this was then dealt with by the Highways Agency.

Which specific set of lights in Winchester Road got knocked down. Bearing in mind there's probably a hundred sets in total!

Too many lights in Southampton altogether and as I remember it, years ago some Tory in Central Government owned the company responsible for putting them in and had a relation sitting on SCC.
Something like that anyway and I am sure more enlightened people can get tell the story as it was.

I think you should only make an allegation like that when you are confident you can supply the facts yourself. It's just hearsay and hot air otherwise.
