The air ambulance is a useable asset and if it was local it can be used for any emergency. I am sure if you were injured you would want the quickest transit to hospital. Too much speculation. You don't need to know all the particulars within minutes of an incident unless you just wish to be critical.
Not at all, charitable trusts are not a bottomless pit. Much like the recent reports on the cost and provision of cancer drugs we have to cherry pick where and what is provided. Real world.

often by time you transport to the copter, take off, land and then be pushed from the heli-pad to casualty I truely believe an ambulance would be no slower.

I genuinely hope the guy recovers regardless of how he got to the general.
To quote from the writings of Oscar Wilde you appear to be "A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing."
Go back to counting your money Ebenezer and leave the caring to the rest of humanity."
