THE Official Monster Raving Loony Party is in Winchester tonight to formally launch their European election campaign.

The party will also launch its own beer to be introduced at the Mash Brewery at East Stratton and two city pubs, the Fulflood Arms and The Albion.

The Albion was the base for party founder Screaming Lord Sutch in the November 1997 re-election, his last before his death in 1999.

No he is not the representative for Redbridge any more, moreover there are no TUSC candidates in the Southampton area. They are now called TUaSAC. Splitters I hear you cry!

So the change from the Communist Party of Great Britain through various other names to Militant Tendency to Socialist Workers to Tusc and now another newborn destined to die before it grows old. At some point I still believe that they'll wake up to the fact that no-one will ever vote for them whatever they call themselves, and they'll have to think about a different hobby.
