CONTRACT workers at Fawley refinery were due to stage a demonstration today.
Scaffolders, tank cleaners and other UNITE members employed by Veolia Environmental Services say they are angry at proposed changes to their terms and conditions. They were due to stage a half-hour protest before work.
One of those taking part, who did not want to be named, said: “They’re trying to put everyone on the same contract, but we don’t want to end our existing agreements.”
A Veolia spokesman was unavailable for comment.
