A SOUTHAMPTON restaurant is helping one of the city’s charities by donating hundreds of pounds from its proceeds.
Multi-cuisine restaurant The Food Factory in Southampton High Street is donating £1 from every £14.99 meal it dishes up to the Southampton Hospital Charity.
The charity offer is part of the outlet’s second anniversary celebrations, and owner Carl Tiffin hopes that it can raise hundreds of pounds.
He said: “The people of Southampton have really responded well to the offer, and we hope to do something like this again.
“We are really happy that the money is going to the Southampton Hospital Charity. The nice thing is that there are so many areas where the money can go.”
Southampton Hospital Charity raises money to improve services at the city’s General and Princess Anne hospitals. Donations go towards buying equipment, funding research or providing services which would otherwise be unaffordable.
