POLICE are hunting two men who tried to steal a bike from some teenagers in Southampton.

They approached a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy outside Chamberlayne Leisure Centre on Weston Road and demanded they hand over a bicycle.

The elder boy managed to escape on the bike and left to get help while the 15-year-old was punched and left with a split lip, but nothing was taken.

One of the attempted robbers is described as white, around 19-years-old, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium built with short blonde hair with a fringe and wearing a blue waterproof coat, dark blue baggy jeans and carrying a shoulder bag.

The other was white, around 20-years-old, 5ft 6ins tall, skinny, with dark curly hair covering his ears and wearing a grey beanie hat, grey jumper and grey jogging bottoms.
