A MAJOR charity is calling for more Hampshire volunteers to join its team.
Brain Tumour Research wants people from Southampton, Winchester and Gosport to give a minimum of one hour per week to help sufferers.
Duties include distributing and picking up collection boxes, organising supermarket bag packs, attending events and giving talks on the charity’s behalf.
Michelle Bowdidge, regional fundraiser for Brain Tumour Research said: “We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.
“You might be a young person interested in how a charity runs, a busy professional who wants to give something back, or a retired person looking to connect with a vibrant charity.”
The charity needs to raise £7m per year to fund its work including seven centres of excellence in the UK, with one in Portsmouth.
