PEOPLE came from far and wide to flex their muscles and be crowned Samson’s strongest.
Samson’s Gym in Eastleigh hosted a strongman competition which saw 70 men and women compete for the title.
More than 120 people attended the event, organised by Eastleigh gym member Julian Howard, 34, who is assistant director of the RBS corporate bank in Chandler's Ford.
Competitors came from as far as Norway, Ireland and Wales to put their muscles to the test in front of strongmen Terry Hollands and Rob Frampton, Hampshire’s up and coming strongman Aaron Page, champion powerlifter Daniella Scozzi and owner of Worthing gym Max Strength, Matt Szczereinski.
Men’s prizes were won by Joshua Morris in the under 90kg category, Damien Thomas in the over 90kg group and Chris Preston in the open, over 105kg competition.
Meanwhile, Nadia Cole scooped the prize for the women’s under 75kg group and Francesca Dale won the women’s open, over 75kg competition.
