TIME is running out to make sure the apple of your eye is in with a chance of winning the Daily Echo's Child of the Year 2014 title.

There is just one day left to get that winning smile captured as the last of the photographic sittings is being held tomorrow.

For the past two weeks, scores of families have been flocking to The Marlands shopping centre in Southampton where the sessions are being held.

Tomorrow will see the last of the sittings which will be held from 11am to 4.30pm.

After tomorrow all the photos will be collated into a series of supplements and then it will be up to the public to decide who makes it onto the short list of finalists.

It will then be up to a panel of judges to make the difficult decision of who should walk, or crawl, away with this year's crown.

They will pick a winner in each of the age categories, 0 to 9 months, 10 to 18 months, 19 to 36 months and three to five years, before an over winner is decided upon.

That honour went to Aaron Ladher last year after his beaming smile won the judges hearts, the three year old from Sholing was the toast of his family after winning the title which also comes with a package of prizes including a framed photo, glass bowl and vouchers to spend at stores within The Marlands.

This year's title is of particularly significant as it marks the 20th anniversary of The Marlands sponsorship of the competition.

Each year we launch the search to find our regions cutest tot and this year has already seen some gorgeous youngsters bring out some winning smiles.
