New stores in Southampton will create 50 new jobs

Daily Echo: Stores create 50 new jobs Stores create 50 new jobs

FIFTY jobs will be created in Southampton by the opening of new stores.

Fashion retailer Jack Wills and jeweller Thomas Sabo are set to open in WestQuay shopping centre in August.

Jack Wills will open for business supplying stylish shoppers of Southampton on the upper shopping floor. The British brand offers a range of ladies’ playsuits and summer dresses and gentlemen’s jackets and casualwear.

The same month will see high street jeweller Thomas Sabo launch its latest store on the same level.

Known for its bracelets and watches, Thomas Sabo also hopes to sell to those looking to complete wedding outfits.

It comes after a Cath Kidston store opened a permanent outlet in WestQuay following the success of a pop-up store last year.

WestQuay general manager Andy Collyer said: “We’re really excited with the latest wave of exciting stores arriving at WestQuay.

“We’re dedicated to providing the shoppers of Southampton with exciting brands and hope these new stores help them get ready for summer.”

The number of new jobs is a plus point. But really does West Quay really need another over-priced Clothes shop and another jewellers.

I'd like to know who the shops in West Quay expecting to

I'd like to know who the shops in West Quay are for? It's not the average Southampton residents clearly.
