Recharge your phone on a Bluestar bus

Daily Echo: Recharge your phone on the bus Recharge your phone on the bus

COMMUTERS travelling with a Hampshire bus firm will get the chance to charge their phones and laptops on the move.

Bluestar has added individual USB ports to a trial vehicle as part of a pilot scheme.

Each passenger on Bluestar 1, which operates between Southampton and Winchester using fleet number 1527, will have access to a charging hub, in addition to other extra services – incuding WiFi.

Bluestar communications manager Nikki Honer said: “People are using their mobile phones and tablets constantly throughout the day – and often find themselves low on battery with nowhere to recharge them,”

“There is significant demand for more charging points – and our buses offer the perfect opportunity for passengers to get a power boost whilst travelling.”
