TWO people, one a teenager, are fighting for their lives in hospital today after a crash on a major road.
A 15-year-old cyclist was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries after his blue pedal bike collided with a blue Yamaha motorcycle.
The 45-year-old rider was also taken to the General with life-threatening injuries.
The motorcycle was travelling southbound on the A230 towards Portsmouth at around 3pm yesterday (Jul 3) when it collided with the bike which was crossing the road east to west.
Police closed the road for four hours while they conducted investigations.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Sgt Wayne Voller of Fratton Roads Police Unit on 101.
