Pop band Bananarama took Southampton’s Let’s Rock festival by storm yesterday – with a little help from some fans.
The girl band invited a number of fans on stage to join them for a rendition of their 1986 chart hit Venus.
The fans, one sporting a red feather boa, not only joined the girls in their dance moves but also took part in a conga across the stage.
One said: “I just had to do it – it was Bananarama after all.”
The group were one of a number of bands from the eighties to play in front of a crowd of 12,000 on Southampton Common for the city’s first Let’s Rock Festival.
