AMBITIOUS business people seeking to make a difference in the Hampshire communities they serve were thrust into the spotlight at an awards ceremony.
Entrepreneurs providing services for some of the county’s most vulnerable people were hailed at a bash in Winchester.
The event was hosted by the School For Social Entrepreneurs Hampshire at their offices in Westgate Chambers, Staple Gardens.
It commended a group of business leaders who have completed a six-month social entrepreneurs training programme run by accountants Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC).
They received certificates and a prize of £500 worth of funding donated by the 3Women Network of Winchester.
The recipients were Helping Hooves UK, Global Music Visions, Now Heritage Community Interest, Friday Night Club, Rotaract Backpack Project, Autism Isolation No More, Wild Thyme Wholefoods, Victory Hants and Enterprise Acton Training.
Representatives from Rotary and Action Hampshire also attended the event.
