A FOOTBALL, a postcard, a recording of children singing and a bag of confectionery will welcome Southampton residents who open a time capsule in half a century’s time.

They have been selected by pupils at Derby Road-based Maytree Nursery and Infant School, who were delighted when judges crowned them winners of the Southampton City 50th Anniversary Schools Competition.

The school has now been awarded a £500 voucher to spend on IT equipment.
