IT’S getting ’otter and so there’s only one way for these furry residents to keep their cool.
Otters at New Forest Wildlife Park like nothing more than having their keepers spray them with water from the hose and biting down on a specially-made fish ice lolly.
Keepers freeze prawns inside ice cubes and make larger ice blocks with fish inside which the otters play with until it defrosts.
And it is not just the otters that have been enjoying the sun – the keepers have reported seeing their owls sunbathing on the floor of their cages in the morning and their ferrets and pine martens taking a dip in water left in their enclosures.
