His exemplary law knowledge has helped him win a student of the year award – and pick up his prize from a former Prime Minister’s wife.
Adam Paine has been named The Open University Law Student of the Year 2013 for being the highest achieving student.
He received his award from leading barrister, human rights activist, and Open University professor Cherie Blair, the wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The 30-year-old, from South-amp-ton, achieved first class honours in Bachelor of Law and has successfully secured a training contract with the Government Legal Service.
Adam said: “I’m genuinely surprised to have received the award for Law Student of the Year 2013 because I’ve never considered myself to be an exceptional student.”
Prof Blair added: “I would like to congratulate Adam for achieving The Open University Law Student of the Year 2013 and wish him every success in his career.”
