RESIDENTS of Compton and Shawford are set to mark the centenary of the First World War with a Great War Day.
On Sunday villagers will come together on the Memorial Playing Fields in Compton to commemorate the occasion in addition to their annual cricket match.
At 8pm there will be a rededication service of the two war memorials on Shawford Down and a service will be held at the Wooden Cross.
