THOSE supporting residents battling cancer in Hampshire have received a boost thanks to a former Eastleigh mayor.
Last year’s mayor of Eastleigh, Malcolm Cross, has presented half of the £20,000 he raised during his time in office to the county branch of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
It was one of the mayor’s two Charities of the Year.
A further £10,000 raised will go to Eastleigh Young Carers.
