A BIN truck caused a stink in a busy city high street this morning when it apparently accidently dumped its load in the street.

Piles of trade waste were ditched by the Southampton City Council refuse lorry on Shirley High Street near Foyes Corner in Southampton at about 9am.

Readers have been sending the Daily Echo photographs of the foul up.

One of them, Benedict Carey, said: “It certainly was a bizarre sight.”
