History group publishes new volume
THE Worthys Local History Group has published Worthy History No. 18.
It includes stories of the servicemen named on the village’s First World War memorials. It also details the history of the Kings Worthy Post Offices, mill and village shop, Burntwood Farm workers, Laundry Cottage and Kent’s Cottage.
The booklet costs £3, or £2.50 for members, and can be bought from history group meetings, or Kings Worthy Post Offices.
