POLICE sealed off the slip road on to a Hampshire motorway this morning after a motorcyclist was in collision with a vehicle, believed to be a lorry.
The slip road on to the northbound carriageway of the M271 motorway at Nursling was shut completely for around half an hour.
One lane has since been re-opened.
Paramedics were treating the rider who was lying on the ground and had a stretcher ready.
He was later taken to Southampton General Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Emergency services vehicles including four police cars were on the slip road as the incident unfolded.
Police and Highways Agency staff stood guard over the motorbike until it was recovered.
The M271 remained open in both directions throughout.
