PET owners across Hampshire will be able to make the most of a new cat hotel that has just opened.

The Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel has been opened by cat lover Lia Davies in the garden of her family home.

It has been custom-built using state-of-the-art materials and has six hotel-style suites.

Cats will have their own bedroom and play area and suites are thermostatically controlled.

There are wrought iron designer beds with pillows, ‘A La Cat’ menus with choices served on bone china, music and expert grooming.

And cat owners will receive regular updates, photographs and texts on their feline friends.

The hotel is part of the Longcroft Cat Hotel Group founded by Abi Purser, who opened the first hotel in 2010 as an alternative to a cattery.

The latest hotel celebrated its grand opening last weekend.

Manager Lia Davies first became inspired when watching a programme called Compare Your Life on Channel 4 which featured Longcroft.

She then persuaded her husband to move house so they had the necessary size of garden for the hotel, which is in Pamber Heath, near Tadley.

She said: “This is my dream job. I’m so looking forward to meeting like-minded people whose cats matter to them as much as to me.

“They have chosen Longcroft because they need to know that their precious cats are not just going to be fed, watered and kept safe, but because they are also going to be cuddled, pampered and generally spoiled as they would be at home.

“I totally understand how important it is for owners to have a guilt-free break, knowing their cats are receiving a first-class service.”
