Homeowners evacuated after car fires spread to home
HOMEOWNERS were evacuated after a car fire spread to the property.
A Peugeot van caught fire in North East Road, Southampton, in the early hours of this morning and spread to a nearby Volvo Estate car.
The blaze then spread to the front of a nearby house.
The occupants were evacuated from the property at around 2.30am.
Firefighters from Hightown fire station attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The cause of the fire is “doubtful” and is under investigation.
Both vehicles were destroyed in the fire and the house suffered slight damage.
No one was hurt in the incident.
