Armed police sent to street after reports of man brandishing firearm
ARMED police descended on a residential street following reports of a man brandishing a firearm.
Police responded to a public order incident in William Macleod Way, Southampton, at around 3.50am on Saturday after a member of the public reported a man causing a disturbance in the street.
Hampshire Constabulary sent an armed police team to the scene and a 24-year-old man from Southampton was arrested.
A search of the area found no firearm. Contact Southampton CID on 101.
