CAPTAINS of industry from across the region are urged to sign up for a business support workshop in Southampton next week.

Business support organisations will be at Southampton Solent University’s Conference Centre giving companies the chance to receive advice on a wide range of business issues.

The event on Tuesday follows a successful business support morning in Hampshire earlier this month.

Visitors will meet with a range of business support organisations to discuss everything, from assistance exporting, recruiting an apprentice, to finding a business mentor and more.

Organised by the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the event will also feature opportunities to hear more about the types of funding support on offer from the Solent LEP.

Councillor Simon Letts, leader of Southampton City Council, said: “The business support event is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in Southampton and the wider Solent area to receive information on the funding and support available to them.

“The road show events are doing a great job of bringing a wealth of experts together for the benefit of local businesses who may find it difficult to find time to discover all the avenues of opportunity.”

Steve Futter, from Solent LEP, added: “We are now taking our business advice service out on a road show across the Solent region. This is the second in a series of monthly events so even if people can’t make it to Southampton we’ll be coming to other venues soon. Our next session will held on the Isle of Wight in the new year.”

Members of the Solent LEP team will also be available for pre-booked one-to-one meetings with individuals interested in any LEP funding programme.

To book a place email events@solentlep.org.uk with your name, title and organisation. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of two places per organisation.

The event is from 9am to 12.30pm. For more information visit solentlep.org.uk
