A litter of puppies have been named after judges of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing in the hope it will help them waltz off to brand new homes.

Staff at the rehoming centre are hoping that the nine week old Lurcher cross pups, nicknamed Craig Revel ‘Paw-wood’, Len ‘Gooddog’, Darcey ‘Bushey Tail’ and ‘Boneo Tail-ioli’ will dazzle potential new owners with their ‘jazz paws’ and find a home worthy of a perfect 10.

Daily Echo:

The cute pups are being cared for at the Dogs Trust in Salisbury while someone steps forward to give them a home.

Centre manager Jacinta Lye said “The ‘Strictly pups’ are an adorable bunch with so much energy, they have the staff dancing in circles around them -  and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

“But like the celebrities on Strictly, they could benefit from a little extra training and are sure to keep new owners on their toes.

"They have the potential to be the stars of any household.

“The frolicking four have already cha cha charmed their way into the hearts of staff and visitors alike and we would love to see them get their paws on the best prize of all, a loving home very soon.

“Their judging criteria are families who could devote time to helping them develop their training and socialisation, and of course, have plenty of fun along the way.”

There is also another litter of five Bull Mastiff Cross puppies all named after the famous faces on Strictly Paw-room who are looking for their forever home.
