A man has been charged with shoplifting following a number of thefts at shops in Romsey. 

SCATS in Alma Road and The Roundabout Toy Store, Clinton Cards and Boots all located in The Hundred, had goods stolen on Monday, December 1.

31 year-old Lyndon Peter Turner of Chambers Avenue, Amesbury is due to appear at South East Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court in Salisbury on Wednesday, December 17. 

Operation Scrooge is running in Andover and Romsey shopping areas throughout December and January.

Police are working with retailers to take a zero tolerance approach to shoplifting.
