DRUGS worth more than £200,000 were seized in a string of police raids across Hampshire.

Two separate specialist operations saw a total of 14 people arrested as a result of a series of drugs busts across the county which saw officers swoop on 18 addresses in Southampton, Eastleigh, Fareham and Gosport within 48 hours.

During the first ten raids officers seized more than £100,000 of suspected Class A drugs, as well as a large amount of cash.

The warrants were executed at addresses in Nobes Avenue, Gosport, Warsash Road, Warsash, Clydesdale Road, Whiteley, Emmanuel Close, Fareham, Hunts Pond Road, Park Gate, Caspian Close, Whiteley, Rockery Close, Dibden, Reeves Way, Bursledon, St Annes Grove, Fareham, and Nutbeam Road in Eastleigh.

Seven men and three women were arrested as a result of Operation Wildwood.

A 31-year-old man, from Gosport, was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, money laundering and theft. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until January 22.

Three men aged 20, 34 and 35, from Warsash, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They have been bailed pending further enquiries until February 3.

A 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, both from Whiteley, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries until March 10.

A 31-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Fareham, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering. The woman was street bailed until December 21 and the man has been bailed pending further enquiries until March 12.

A 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both from Eastleigh, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They have been bailed until February 13.

Then on Saturday morning officers executed eight warranted across Southampton, which saw officers seize more than £100,000 of Class B drugs.

The raids took place in Derby Road, St Albans Road, Brintons Road, South East Road and The Dell on Saturday morning, led by officers from the Southampton Central Neighbourhood Policing team.

A 24-year-old woman and three men aged 26, 30 and 35, all from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries until March 9.

Det Insp Natasha Nield said: “The supply of illegal drugs will not be tolerated in Hampshire and we seek to prevent anyone from making money from this activity which causes misery to the lives of others within our communities.

“The warrants were executed as part of our Operation Fortress campaign which seeks to reduce the harm of drug-related violence.

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who is concerned about illegal drugs or drug-related crime in their neighbourhood.”
