POLICE have renewed their appeal for information after a crash which claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman from Southampton.

The crash happened on the southbound carriageway of the M3 between junctions nine and ten and involved a grey Fiat Stilo and a lorry.

Police say that the Fiat collided with the rear of a lorry, before leaving the carriageway and coming to a stop on its roof.

A 24-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were also hurt in the crash and were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 26-year-old woman had been a passenger and was pronounced dead at the scene.
