A road has been closed following a fatal accident this morning.
A grey car went off the road and smashed into a tree at the junction of Buckler's Hard Road and Gins Lane just after 10am.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said firefighters and paramedics were at the scene.
He added that Buckler's Hard Road had been closed between its junctions with Lodge Lane and Sowley Lane.
A male driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances of the collision are being investigated, no-one else was hurt. Road closures at the Lodge Lane and Fowley Lane junctions of Bucklers Hard Road are currently in place.
