Police are investigating a stabbing of two women this morning
A MAJOR investigation is underway following a stabbing in a city neighbourhood.
Detectives are probing the attack in the Weston area of Southampton this morning which has left two women with stab wounds to their body, according to police.
A 24-year-old woman received cuts to her chest and a 26-year-old woman received cuts to her arm.
Both women have been receiving treatment in Southampton General Hospital for their injuries.
The incident happened at about 1am this morning in Wadhurst Gardens.
A 33-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of GBH.
A witness appeal has been launched.
Anyone with information is asked to call Southampton CID on 101.
